I recently came across this great new program called Cup to Crop.
This sort of thing is something I’ve been thinking about for a while, so I am encouraged that someone is on the ball and doing it! It’s basically a creative way to fight hunger in the developing world, particularly among Children.
“About 5.3 million children under the age of five die each year in developing countries from malnutrition and hunger-related illness.
This is not only unacceptable, but also completely preventable.”
One of the best parts of this is the ‘Dining to Donate’ program. We love to eat, and the Kids in developing countries need to eat! So if you like to dine why not get out there and eat at one of these restaurants and give the $3…not much in the scope of things!
If you can’t get out there to dine, then think about just donating, because for every dollar you donate to Plan, United Nations partner agencies will deliver 8 times the amount of emergency food. So if you give $12, that works out to $96, which is enough to feed 10 children for a month! did you get that – $12 to feed 10 hungry kids for a month! We spend $12 on lunch without a thought, so you don’t need to think too much about it – click here and donate!
Cup to Crop is run by Plan, one of the oldest and largest children’s development organisations in the world. Good work I say – I love seeing these innovative and clever ways to raise money for those in need!
Hi Tones,
